This juvenile Bald Eagle, Haliaeetus leucocephalus, in its first year is flying over the Delaware River. The Bald Eagle has made a major recovery from its threatened status and each year more nests appear in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and elsewhere. They are regularly sighted on the middle and upper Delaware.
